3D Printing with Makerzone

Description

Hackerscape is proud to present a 3D Printing workshop in partnership with iMakerzone (http://imakerzone.com/). This workshop will focus mostly on 3D Printing and 3D Printers using an incredibly user-friendly 3D design tool TinkerCAD (https://tinkercad.com/).

A little over two years old, iMakerzone has made an impact within the 3D printing community in Malaysia. Teaming up with MDEC, Penang Maker Faire and various local universities, their next move is the first in a planned series of workshops with Hackerscape focusing on different aspects of 3D printing and 3D modelling.

Not only will attendees have guidance to create their designs and ideas using a simple 3D design web application (Tinkercad) to design a model during the workshop but they will be able to print the results on iMakerzone's four 3D Printers: Ultimaker, Kossel Clear, Up! Plus and Flashforge Dreamer. We'll be using PLA and ABS material for the workshop with further guidance on how to take your design to the next level.

The workshop will be instructed by 3D modeller Mak Kwan Wuey, CEO of Makerzone who models and prints designs for Malaysian cosplayers and product designers. He will be focusing on using Tinkercad to create 3D printable models and lecturing on detailed 3D printing machines, their capabilities and limits to break in the 3D printing industry. The class will design a 3D object during the workshop with the goal of it eventually seeing it 3D printed for them.
